Prelims:-
Preliminary task: our task was to have a character open a door, walk across the room and sit facing another character and exchange two lines of dialogue. we had to demonstrate match on action, shot reverse shot and the 180 degree rule.
Here is what not to do:
Break the 180 degree rule- this is a cinematography guideline; this says that if two characters are in a scene then they need to main they're left and right relationship with each other. There is a imaginary 180 degree axis that the camera cannot cross otherwise the shot becomes reversed and the the left and rights get messed up. overall, this makes the shot between the two characters less realistic.

Change costumes-
Make sure you always use the same characters and stay in the same clothes. Otherwise you will break the rules of continuity. Continuity is a system of cutting used to maintain continuous and clear narrative action by following a set of rules. This will make the clip feel unrealistic and fake if you break these guidelines. The benefits of using this rule are that the narrative has a structure, the shot sequences flow seamlessly into each other, it is also a lot easier to follow while watching the film.

Here's what to do:
Keep to the 180 degree rule - This means that the camera will not cross the imaginary 180 degree axis so that we don't mess up the lefts and rights of the two characters in the shot. We did this because it makes the scene look more realistic and natural so that the audience are more engaged to the scene.

Keep the same costumes for the characters - This means the scene won't break the rules of continuity; this will make the scene look proffessional, more realistic and make the scene look like a real life conversation so the audience don't feel like they're just watching a conversation in a scene it makes them feel like they're involved in a real life conversation. overall, this will make the audience more engaged.
